The Shapes That Inspire
The forms that influence my jewelry and style
When I sit down to design, I’m often drawn to simple, timeless shapes. Curves, spheres, ovals, and clean lines—they carry a quiet kind of strength. Shapes are everywhere: in architecture, in nature, in the way fabric folds, even in the spaces between things.
Inspiration finds me in unexpected places—sometimes in the geometry of a pattern, sometimes in the way light moves across a surface. Those moments often become jewelry that feels both modern and timeless, like my Sunset Necklace, which echoes those same forms.
I’m also endlessly inspired by clean, architectural —the way geometry can create both structure and movement.
The Gradient Square Drop Earrings are a reflection of that balance: bold yet refined, with cascading squares that catch the light beautifully.
For me, a shape isn’t just a silhouette—it’s a feeling. The curve of a petal can become the curve of a pendant. The geometry of a windowpane can spark the outline of a ring. A stone’s natural form can guide the entire design, telling me how it wants to live in jewelry.
Right now, I’m especially excited about new pieces taking shape in sterling silver and 14k gold—a pairing I love for its contrast and the way silver ages so beautifully over time. Paired with a leather cord, these designs feel modern yet timeless, and I can’t wait to share them with you soon. Keep an eye out for these new arrivals on kimberlyginger.com
To me, shapes are the foundation of beauty—universal forms we all connect to. They remind us of balance, softness, structure, and movement. Again and again, I find myself returning to spheres, domes, and oval silhouettes. They feel both ancient and modern, carrying a sense of timelessness I want my jewelry to hold.
This is what shapes give me: inspiration, grounding, and the spark to create.
